Adjacent issue 13: Contributor Q&A

For this issue, the Q&A posts were designed and drafted to highlight each contributor's project, creative process, and ideas.

To reflect the theme of ornament, each post incorporates bold colors, textured typography, and layered backgrounds, emphasizing the individuality of each contributor's work. The layouts were designed in Figma and exported as images for publication on Instagram.

Body as Textile Zine

End-to-end UX for a sustainable goods marketplace — research, IA, and a component system that shipped across web and native without losing its voice.

UI/UXDesign SystemMobile

The Brief

Body as Textile is web and installation project explores textile as hypertext extending beyond thread and fabric, weaving information through bodies, spaces, and histories.

By expanding ideas on human kinesthetics and exploring the potential for unconventional archival mediums, we can rethink how bodies inhabit space and how textiles both enclose and provide comfort within it—ultimately revealing how even the clothing we wear may serve as carriers of information.

The Approach

The project's zine was designed and created featuring our project description, concept, and statement. As an added element, embroidery kits were provided for visitors to take home, allowing them to recreate their movement patterns in physical form.
